Marina Policies
- All vessels MUST register UPON ARRIVAL at all GVHA facilities. Registration can be done by calling the marina office at 250-383-8326, or by VHF radio 66A.
- Vessel owners MUST abide by current GVHA Port Policies including the following:
- All rates are in Canadian funds
- US exchange rates are subject to change
- Rafting is mandatory at all facilities when necessary
- Prepaid moorage is non-refundable
- Monthly moorage payment is due on the 1st of each month. The signing of a moorage agreement is required along with payment of a damage/security deposit
- All vessel owners that are invoiced for non-payment of moorage and other fees will be charged a $20.00 invoicing fee.
- Docks are to be kept free of all chattels and encumbrances at all times
- Please do not place dinghies, ladders or any other potential obstructions on GVHA docks.
- In consideration of other marina visitors, respectable noise levels must be maintained and any gatherings or other activities kept contained while moored at GVHA facilities. Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Generators cannot be run from 9pm to 7am.
- While on the docks, children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- All PETS visiting the marinas MUST BE ON A LEASH and accompanied by their owners at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up any pet waste deposited at GVHA facilities.
- For safety reasons, there is no rollerblading, skateboarding, bicycle or scooter riding on the GVHA docks or lower causeway.
- Use of electricity, if not previously arranged, requires immediate payment
Canadian Fishing Vessels
- CFVs have the exclusive use of designated fingers at Fisherman's Wharf only.
- Vessels over 50'/15m must make prior arrangements before tying up at any GVHA facility.
- Yellow loading zones must be observed
- Prepaid moorage payment by other means is due upon reminder by dock crew
- Automatic moorage and power payments will not be subject to an invoicing fee
- Daily moorage payment is to be paid either directly to GVHA dock crew or left in the drop box in the envelope provided or in person at the marina office or by phone 250-383-8326

Payments can be made in person at the Kiosk on the Causeway Floats or in person during office hours at the Marina Office at 107-1208 Wharf Street or by phone 250.383.8326 or with the Dock Crew during daily rounds. Payment envelopes may be deposited in the following safe/drop box locations at:

Cancellation Policy

Moorage fees are non-refundable.
Checking In / Checking Out
Vessels are welcome to check in after 1 p.m. Check out time is 11 a.m. Vessels staying beyond this time will be charged another night's moorage unless prior arrangements have been made.
Electrical Connections
Electrical connections to vessels must be marine grade power cords with watertight molded plugs that meet fire regulations and the local electrical code.
The following criteria is mandatory:

20 amp plug requires minimum 12/3 wire

30 amp plug requires minimum 10/3 wire

All cords must be suitable for outdoor use

Cord caps must be corrosion resistant

Cords must be connected securely to a cord cap
Lines must be adequate and sufficient in such a way as to be safe in any type of weather. Nylon or polypropylene lines are not acceptable.
