On Thursday, June 18, 2009, from 12:29 to 1:30 pm,I witnessed nine (9) infractions by motor coaches belonging to three stakeholders in the Cruise Tourism Community Initiative - seven (7) by Cruise Victoria, one (1) by Gray Line and one (1) by Pacific Coach Lines. These infractions were witnessed at the corner of Erie and St. Lawrence Streets with motor coaches travelling from Ogden Point to downtown in a clockwise direction (Ogden Point, Dallas, Erie, St. Lawrence, Belleville Streets)whereas the CTCI agreement stipulates they should travel from Ogden Point to downtown in a counterclockwise direction (Ogden Point, Dallas Road and Douglas). Cruise Victoria Motor Coaches: C8 at 12:30, C2 at 12.35, C3 at 12:44, C1 at 12:55, C8 at 1:00, C4 at 1:03 and C2 at 1:22. | There was a gas leak near Douglas at Beacon Hill and the road was closed to traffic for emergency vehicles. We returned to regular routing once the road reopened and the traffic backup had disipated. | |||
