Thank you very much for your feedback relating to the CTP and our coaches operating alternate routing from that which is designated. I have been out of the office unexpectedly until this week, however this email will address the three concerns you have voiced. On each occasion you have indicated a concern with our vehicles operating counter to the Cruise Tourism Partnership, the coaches involved were starting on our Butchart Gardens Tour or on charter. Neither service was related to Cruise Ships and both services following the reverse route are permitted under the CTP as they minimize the impact on the Community as a whole. Our first Butchart Gardens Tour pickup is at the Coast Harbourside then the Harbour Towers. This occurs once a day between 815 and 835am and significantly reduces our total driving in James Bay to the first pickup. The 1050am trip you saw was a pickup at the Coast Harbourside for a charter group. I hope this puts your concerns to rest, we take our obligations under the Cruise Tourism Partnership very seriously and do what we can to mitigate our impact on the Community regardless of the type of work we are doing.
