I have identified over the last few days --- with minimal attention to the traffic on the street --- the following "violations" of the tour bus protocol (i.e. travelling in the wrong direction along Dallas Road at Erie Street). 10:37 a.m.May 22 - "White w. Green Stripes" bus 6:11 a.m. May 22 - Grayline "highway" bus 5:57 p.m. May 21 - a Golden Arrow bus 5:41 p.m. May 21 - Grayline "highway" bus and another "undetermined" bus following 1:09 p.m. May 21 - MTR Western bus 4:51 p.m. May 21 - Wilson bus ----- Out of Town for a few days ----- 6:09 p.m. May 16 - Golden Arrow bus 5:20 p.m. May 16 - two Pacific Coach Lines buses The problem is that the buses that serve Ogden Point are noisy and stinky. You need to look at alternative people movement strategies that do not negatively impact the Quality of Life in James Bay. |

Charter Bus Lines, Sightlines and Golden Arrow are out of town tour buses and are not servicing cruise ships. The Cruise Tourism Partners were not made aware of the re-opening of Dallas Road until May 18, which explains why some buses were still using the diverted route. As for the Wilson bus and the Grayline buses on May 21 & 22, I will forward your submission to them. From Wilson's Transportation: I will try to identify which coach that your observation refers to and remind the driver of the recommended traffic pattern for Dallas Road when servicing the cruise ship centre. This may have been a coach doing general touring not related to cruise tourism, however, we are doing our very best to respect the spirit of the recommendation even when not servicing a cruise ship. I will also have a general e-mail sent out to our drivers to remind them of the recommended traffic pattern. Thank you for your interest in Wilson’s Transportation. Sincerely, Joe Jansen, General Manager |
